Support Policy
This Support Policy explains how founding support for the AI Companion Project should be understood, what support is intended to help fund, what benefits supporters may receive, and what risks and limitations apply.
1. Nature of Support
AI Companion is a concept-stage project that is currently in development. Support provided through this page is intended to help fund the design, engineering, prototyping, and potential future manufacturing of the Project.
Support is not a donation, is not a preorder, is not the purchase of a finished product, is not a reservation for a guaranteed unit, and is not an investment of any kind.
Support represents voluntary participation in helping bring the Project to life, with the understanding that the Project remains in active development and may change substantially over time.
2. What Support Helps Fund
Support contributions may be used for hardware prototyping, engineering and development, design and iteration, software development, testing and validation, manufacturing preparation, operational costs, logistics, infrastructure, and other project-related expenses that may arise during development.
Funds are allocated at the discretion of the project creator based on the evolving needs of the Project, and there is no guarantee that the collected funds will be sufficient to complete the Project or bring it into production.
3. What Supporters May Receive
Supporters may receive project development updates, launch notifications, optional supporter recognition, a unique future discount code, and early access to purchase the product if the product reaches launch.
Any such benefits are conditional upon the Project continuing toward launch and are provided at the discretion of the project creator. These benefits do not represent ownership, guaranteed value, or a contractual delivery right.
4. What Support Does Not Guarantee
Providing support does not guarantee product delivery, manufacturing success, project completion, an exact design match to concept images, fixed specifications, fixed pricing, a fixed timeline, or future availability of units.
Supporters acknowledge and accept that the Project may evolve significantly from its current state and that published materials reflect the present direction of development rather than a final locked product.
5. Concept-Stage Product Disclaimer
AI Companion is currently in concept and development stage. All images, renders, descriptions, dimensions, features, and specifications are indicative only and are subject to change.
Final product design, features, materials, dimensions, capabilities, manufacturing methods, and software behavior may differ from concept representations, technical sketches, whitepapers, and promotional materials published during development.
6. Non-Refundable Support
Support contributions are generally non-refundable. By providing support, you acknowledge that funds are intended to be used for development, that the Project may fail, that the product may never be produced, that support does not guarantee delivery, and that contributions are final.
Refunds may occur only where required by applicable law or where required by the policies or dispute rules of the payment processor used in connection with the Project.
7. Project Risks
Supporting a hardware project involves material risks. These risks include, without limitation, development delays, design changes, technical challenges, manufacturing issues, supply chain disruptions, funding shortfalls, regulatory complications, and project cancellation.
By supporting the Project, supporters explicitly accept these risks and understand that hardware development is uncertain by nature.
8. Discount Code Policy
If discount codes are issued to supporters, they have no monetary value, are not redeemable for cash, may be subject to usage limitations, may expire, and may be restricted to single-use or to a limited number of product units.
Discount codes are valid only if the product launches. If the Project does not launch or no commercial release occurs, any discount code becomes void and has no redemption value.
9. Timeline Disclaimer
Any timeline mentioned on the website, in the whitepaper, in technical sheets, in updates, or in campaign materials is an estimate only.
Hardware development timelines are uncertain and may change at any time. Delays, extended development periods, or changes in launch timing do not create eligibility for refunds or other compensation.
10. Independent Project
AI Companion is an independent project initiated by an individual. Support does not create ownership rights, a partnership, an investment relationship, shareholder rights, governance rights, or decision-making authority in relation to the Project.
Supporters participate voluntarily in the development journey of an independent project and do not acquire equity, control, or approval rights over product, business, or creative decisions.
11. Project Modification
The project creator reserves the right to modify the design, features, specifications, materials, pricing, launch plans, manufacturing strategy, supporter benefits, whitepaper, project documentation, and timeline of the Project at any time.
The project creator also reserves the right to suspend, redirect, delay, or cancel the Project entirely, without obligation to refund support contributions except where refund is required by applicable law or payment processor rules.
12. Early Access Clarification
Early access means that supporters may receive the opportunity to purchase the product before general availability if the product reaches launch.
Early access does not guarantee unit allocation, production priority, price locking, specific configuration access, or any delivery timeline.
13. Acceptance of Support Terms
By supporting AI Companion, you confirm that you understand that this is a concept-stage project, that support is generally non-refundable, that the Project may fail, that product delivery is not guaranteed, that specifications may change, and that the timeline is not guaranteed.
You also confirm that you understand the support model described on this page and accept the risks and limitations associated with supporting a concept-stage hardware project.
14. Policy Updates
This Support Policy may be updated at any time as the Project evolves. The latest version may be published on this page and will replace prior versions.
Project materials, campaign language, technical descriptions, whitepapers, development estimates, and supporter benefit descriptions may also be updated over time to reflect the current state of the Project.
15. Final Statement
Support for AI Companion is intended to help bring a concept-stage product into reality.
Supporters participate in the development journey with the understanding that hardware projects involve uncertainty and that contributions are made voluntarily without any guarantee of final product delivery.
